SCG Packaging Public Company Limited (SCGP), a leading integrated packaging solutions provider, has announced the successful completion of a significant investment in Indonesia. The company acquired a 100% stake in PT Prokemas Adhikari Kreasi (MYPAK), a prominent manufacturer of corrugated containers.
The strategic Merger and Partnership (M&P) deal, valued at IDR 467 billion (approximately THB 981 million), aims to strengthen SCGP’s fiber packaging business and enhance its integrated solutions offering to meet the continuously expanding customer base in the high-growth Indonesian market. MYPAK’s financial performance will be consolidated into SCGP’s financial statements starting from December 2025.
Wichan Jitpukdee, Chief Executive Officer of SCGP, stated, “SCGP continues to execute its strategy through high-quality investments to sustain long-term growth. This integrated packaging investment enhances cross-selling opportunities across the food, beverage, and consumer goods sectors, both domestically and internationally.”
Strategic Location and High Production Capacity
MYPAK is recognized as one of Indonesia’s leading corrugated container producers, boasting an annual production capacity of 144,000 tons. Its clientele includes multinational corporations and top domestic brands primarily operating in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) market.
The production facility is strategically located in Bekasi, West Java, which Mr. Wichan highlighted will strengthen synergies within SCGP’s existing business network and reinforce value chain integration with the company’s packaging paper operations.
At the end of 2024, MYPAK recorded revenue of IDR 846 billion (approximately THB 1,777 million). Mr. Wichan added that the acquisition will elevate SCGP’s competitiveness and fully support Indonesia’s strong economic growth and its increasing demand for quality packaging.
