Xbox is making a massive showing at the gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show 2025 (TGS), reinforcing its commitment to players and creators across Southeast Asia. The Xbox booth is set to be a major highlight, featuring nearly 40 hands-on demo stations in the dedicated Xbox Game Pass Experience Zone, alongside the official regional debut of the new ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X handheld devices.

The presence at the region’s premier gaming event, held at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, underscores Xbox’s strategy to leverage Game Pass as a powerful platform for game discovery and to champion the diverse, mobile-first gaming culture of the region.

Game Pass Zone: Blockbusters Meet Local Indie Talent

The core of the Xbox activation is the expansive Xbox Game Pass Experience Zone. Attendees will get hands-on time with highly anticipated AAA titles and popular games available through the service:

  • Blockbuster Titles: Playable demos include upcoming major releases like NINJA GAIDEN 4 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, alongside featured games such as Forza Horizon 5, Hollow Knight: Silksong, Grounded 2, and DOOM: The Dark Ages.
  • Southeast Asia Indie Showcase: In a nod to the region’s vibrant creative talent, the booth will feature games from local developers participating in the ID@Xbox program. Featured titles include Acts of Blood (Eksil Team), Grim Trials (Glory Jam), SEDAP! (Kopiforge), and Overhours (CtrlD Studio).

Jun Shen, Xbox Strategic Markets Expansion, Southeast Asia Lead, stated that the TGS presence provides players a direct opportunity to experience how “Xbox Game Pass makes discovering and playing great games easier than ever.”

Championing Creators: Over 1,000 Asian Indie Games in Development

Xbox highlighted the success of the ID@Xbox program, which is specifically designed to nurture local talent and bring their games to a global audience.

Agnes Kim, Head of Strategic Markets Expansion, Xbox, noted that over the past year, more than 100 new Southeast Asian developers have joined the program. Currently, over 3,500 indie games are in development via ID@Xbox, with more than 1,000 originating from across Asia.

“We’re proud to champion Southeast Asia’s creative talent… at our booth during gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show,” Kim added, mentioning featured ID@Xbox games like Nightmare Circus (Fairplay Studios) and Kriegsfront Tactics (Toge Productions).

Handheld Power: ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X Debut

Addressing the region’s strong mobile-first gaming culture, the Xbox booth is featuring the new handhelds co-created with ASUS: the ROG Xbox Ally and the ROG Xbox Ally X. Officially launched on October 16th, these devices offer powerful, portable solutions, allowing players to take their full game library on the go, perfectly aligning with the “multi-device” gaming trend.

Fans can experience all the action at Booth S8, Entertainment Zone, G Floor, QSNCC, until October 19, 2025.
