Beacon Venture Capital (Beacon VC), the corporate venture capital arm of KASIKORNBANK, has announced a joint investment of over USD 10 million in the Series B funding round of WIZ.AI, a Singapore-based leader in Generative AI (GenAI) and Large Language Model (LLM) solutions.
The investment signals a strong vote of confidence in the role of AI technology in reshaping the future workforce and economy across Southeast Asia.
Strategic Co-Investment The Series B round was supported by a consortium of prominent investors. Alongside Beacon VC, the round included the SMBC Asia Rising Fund—a co-investment fund by Japan’s Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) and SMIC SG Holdings (a subsidiary of SM Investments Corporation)—as well as existing investors Singtel Innov8 (the venture capital arm of Singtel) and Granite Asia.

“AI technology is playing a pivotal role in reshaping the economy, enhancing work efficiency, and elevating workforce capabilities towards more creative and value-added roles,” Thanapong stated.
He noted that the decision to invest in WIZ.AI was driven by the startup’s status as a regional leader in enterprise applications. specifically noting their ability to tailor LLMs for local markets and scale across multiple industries globally.
Hyper-Localized Tech Capabilities WIZ.AI is recognized as a pioneer in implementing GenAI and LLM solutions at the enterprise level in Southeast Asia. The company specializes in voice agent technology and omnichannel automation.
A key differentiator for WIZ.AI is its platform’s ability to navigate complex local languages and accents with high accuracy and natural-sounding speech. This localization enables systems to deliver culturally resonant experiences, setting a new standard for intelligent communication.

Future Roadmap: AGI and Expansion The newly secured capital will be utilized to accelerate the development of WIZ.AI’s Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) platform.
