SCB X Public Company Limited (SCBX), in collaboration with the National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA), successfully hosted the Cyber Collaboration Forum: Building Resilience Together. The event served as a crucial platform to forge stronger public-private partnerships and strategic dialogue aimed at significantly enhancing Thailand’s national cybersecurity landscape.
The forum, featuring keynote addresses from senior executives of both organizations, focused on a unified approach to tackling sophisticated digital threats. Discussions emphasized the vital need to build a robust and sustainable cybersecurity ecosystem that integrates legal frameworks, technological standards, workforce development, and broad public awareness.
Executive Vision for a Secure Digital Future
Dennis Trawnitschek, Chief Technology Officer of SCBX, highlighted the necessity for an evolutionary shift in security strategy. “SCBX is honored to collaborate with NCSA in shaping a unified approach to cybersecurity. As AI and emerging technologies redefine data usage and operational models, cybersecurity must evolve beyond traditional IT boundaries to become a core pillar of sustainable enterprise governance,” he stated.
He further stressed that while advanced tools are essential, “true resilience stems from shared learning, open dialogue, and a balanced approach to innovation and risk management. The Cyber Collaboration Forum marks a pivotal step in fostering enduring cooperation between the private and public sectors, with the goal of enabling inclusive and secure digital growth.”
Air Vice Marshal Amorn Chomchoey, Secretary-General of the National Cyber Security Committee (NCSA), detailed the agency’s foundational role. “NCSA has laid the legal and policy foundations to support the digital transformation through three key legislations: the Computer Crime Act, the Cybersecurity Act, and the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). Our mission is to ensure a safe, secure, and trusted cyberspace for all,” he affirmed.
He noted NCSA’s focus on building a sustainable ecosystem by:
- Developing professional standards in collaboration with the Department of Skill Development.
- Encouraging businesses to appoint cybersecurity officers.
- Integrating cybersecurity education into vocational curricula.
Air Vice Marshal Amorn concluded that the partnership with SCBX will “further enhance cyber capabilities across sectors, fortifying national cyber defense and supporting long-term economic and social development.”
Four Pillars of Collaboration to Elevate National Standards
